CT Consultants and New Visions Group 2020 Scholarship Winners

[COLUMBUS, OHIO] — This year, CT Consultants and New Visions Group awarded a total of $10,000 to three of Ohio’s brightest minority engineering students. The winners are as follows:

  • Joshua Boamah – Edwin B. Hogan Memorial Scholarship, $5,000
  • Brookelyn Cosper – Ohio Minority Student Scholarship, $2,500
  • Igbinosa Oriakhi – Ohio Minority Student Scholarship, $2,500

All three students are pursuing Civil Engineering majors. Boamah and Oriakhi are students at The Ohio State University, where they plan to graduate in Spring of 2022 and Fall of 2021, respectively. Similarly, Cosper will graduate in Fall of 2021 from The University of Toledo. This year’s application pool was very competitive. While the decision between qualified applicants was difficult, Boamah, Oriakhi, and Cosper best demonstrated academic excellence, a passion for campus involvement, and dedication to service.

CT Consultants and New Visions Group have offered scholarships to minority engineering students attending accredited Ohio universities since 2008. The Ohio Legislative Black Caucus and National Society of Black Engineers also sponsor the OMESS. Recipients of both scholarships are strongly encouraged to participate in the CT Consultants Mentoring Program.
